Wedding bridesmaid makeup, what to do?

Got a wedding coming up next week and i'm the bridesmaid, any tips for bridesmaid makeup (i'm doing it myself) my dress is black and white but i don't want my makeup to be too bold and whenever i do black eye makeup it smudges or goes everywhere? Tips ideas? Thankyouuuu:)
